Reshaping RDM

Challenge: To establish and lead a digital division within the predominantly print design agency.

Process: Having joined as a junior designer, I quickly noticed the loss of a number of accounts. Having taken it upon myself to research the reasons behind this, I interviewed past, present and potential clients and quickly discovered that despite the fact that RDM was held in high regard within the rather niche market it competed within (commercial property/development), clients now wanted a digital offering to complement their print designs, and would prefer one agency to deliver their material. I created a business case and presented to the senior management at RDM on how we had the capabilities in place already to meet client digital needs, with minimal risk. I led in-company training, design and delivery of all digital projects during my time at RDM for some of the largest names in the field, including CBRE, Savills and JLL.

Outcome: The digital division created web, mobile and data-driven solutions, increasing revenue in excess of 20% in the first year alone, whilst establishing RDM as a fully integrated agency within the market.
