The Story

I have been guided in my career by an underlying ambition to understand people’s implicit motivations, behaviours, and desires, using a convergence of traditional and modern methodologies to design solutions that meet consumer needs. As an advocate for furthering the holistic approaches of design in business, education and society, I have found my way into strategic design through years of professional discovery and experience, and if pushed to do so, I would describe myself as a Digital & Strategic Designer. However, this is merely the tip of the iceberg of who I am and previous projects have included experience design, operations, venture architecture, amongst others. We have a tendency to define ourselves by our current job-title, but I would rather describe myself as someone that identifies problems, creates solutions and leads implementation.

I have taken an unorthodox career path, mainly to appease my curious mind and thirst for knowledge. Starting out managing and then consulting globally in the bar industry, to now working as the Head of Digital and Strategy (Campaign) in the luxury fashion industry, there have been numerous positions that have allowed me to continually add to my skill-set, enhancing my empathetic design approach in the process. It is these experiences merged with design methods that have allowed me to embrace ambiguity, and excel in whatever role I have undertaken – whether that is as a Chief Marketing Officer for a Parisian-based start-up or taking control of financial and operational oversight of a struggling business. I have worked across the entire spectrum of industry – from advising some of the world’s largest brands at board level, to guiding a start-up in a shed in the Chilean desert.

I enjoy learning, and believe in continuous development, whether that is by taking advantage of MOOCs (Mass Open Online Courses), absorbing cultures via my love for travelling, or through the people I meet on my everyday journey.
